goodbye jan

today
i watched melissa etheridge
on oprah

she said that breast cancer treatments have come a long way
and most people dont die from it anymore
its easier to cure now

shes cured
for now

at 730pm tonight
a wonderful woman i know
lost her fight with the monster

sweet
honest
beautiful
so smart she could take you to another world
with her thoughts
voiced

leaving behind two beautiful honest intellegent daughters
20 and 22

no mom
no dad

just themselves

there is no cure
its not over
we still have to fight

mothers
daughters
grammas
aunties
friends

goodbye jan
i hope you are with jean
and the rest of your loved ones

everytime i go into a hobby lobby
or paint with orange paint
or watch "the family stone"
i will remember the night
i taught you sudoku
and you taught me peace

you will always be remembered.....

We're so fragile, after all, aren't we? And the more beautiful and strong for it.

I am sorry for your loss. Man, that kind of experience stops you in your tracks.
