there are email messages printed on postsecret all the time by people who have read the postcards others have sent in and seen that they share the same kinds of secrets. they're always saying how seeing the postcards gave them the courage to face/get over whatever it was that was holding them down. so even though your secrets are intense and sad, you can derive a little comfort from the fact that if they end up being posted, you could help someone else out their face up to their own secrets. or, at the very least, comfort them in some way as they'll realize they're not alone in the matter.
